Jørgen Stangebye Larsen is an awarded Production Designer living and working in Oslo, Norway; with experience from working in Canada, UK, Morocco and other European countries. He recently won both Norway’s National Film Prize, The Amanda Award and the Cannon Award (Norway’s Film Industry’s own price) in Best Production Design, for his work with Maria Sødahl’s «Hope»; Norway’s Oscar submission in 2021. Previously he has been nominated for an Amanda for his work on Joachim Trier’s «Oslo, August 31st», Sara Johnsen’s «All that matter is Past», and John Andreas Andersen’s «The Quake».
Recent projects includes «Cold Pursuit», starring Liam Neeson and Laura Dern, directed by Hans Petter Moland. Their long collaboration also resulted in «Out Stealing Horses», based on the internationally successful novel by Per Petterson and «In Order of Disappearance», both having a world premiere in the main competition in Berlin.
«The North Sea», a new disaster movie from Fantefilm and John Andreas Andersen premiered in the fall of 2021.
His latest movie “Full Dekning” (Norwegian title) by Storm Films and director Arild Andresen will be in theatres from late February 2022.
